Our founder and in-house chemist, Dr. J, earned her PharmD from the University of Florida and built a global career in healthcare consulting and pharmaceutical science. Her professional background includes:

The Personal Journey that Inspired the Formulas

In 2010, while on an expat assignment in the Middle East, Dr. J developed a severe and persistent skin condition that conventional treatments could not resolve. After years of managing symptoms through prescriptions, she began exploring a more holistic approach to skin health — combining her pharmaceutical expertise with research into botanical medicine, inflammation, and the skin barrier.

Working alongside a Chinese medical practitioner, she experienced how herbal therapy, lifestyle changes, and ingredient quality could influence both skin and overall wellbeing. This turning point led her to begin formulating her own skincare blends — focused on simple, effective ingredients that supported repair, hydration, and skin resilience.
