Where is your product packaging manufactured and is it recyclable?
Our product packaging is amber glass bottles and sourced in the USA. We choose glass because it protects formula stability and is recyclable, making it one of the most sustainable packaging options available. We chose amber bottles specifically as they help block damaging UV light. UV light can damage the naturally occurring vitamins and antioxidants in our natural ingredients. This decrease in light exposure also slows oxidation, which keeps product ingredients more stable and effective longer.
FORMULAS
Where are your products made?
All formulas are developed and produced in small batches by our pharmacist founder in-house in Texas. Dr. J’s pharmaceutical knowledge allows us to implement the steps necessary to ensure consistency, freshness, and quality control.
How long does it take to see results from natural skincare?
Most customers notice hydration and skin radiance within days, while improvements in tone or texture typically appear after 2-3 weeks of consistent use.
Do your products have a shelf life?
Yes. We generally recommend using skincare products within 6 months of receiving. Because we avoid synthetic stabilizers, our shelf life may be shorter than conventional skincare or mass-produced products that can sit on the shelf for years. Our Essential Oil Sprays naturally have a longer shelf life and we recommend using within 2 years of receiving.
How should I store your products?
Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. We use no synthetic stabilizers and proper storage helps maintain freshness and potency.
Are your products safe for pregnant women?
Yes, but we always recommend checking ingredient lists with your healthcare provider to ensure they align with your personal medical guidance.
INGREDIENTS
Are your ingredients certified organic?
We use certified organic ingredients whenever possible and focus on clean sourcing, minimal processing, and ingredient transparency. All ingredients are grown using organic practices but they are not always USDA certified. Please see our “Sourcing” page for additional information.
Why do small-batch products vary slightly in color or scent?
Natural ingredients change with different harvest conditions, which can affect scent or color. This is normal and does not impact product performance or safety.
What does “toxin-free” mean?
For S.SKY, toxin-free means absolutely no synthetic ingredients or chemicals, including but not limited to fragrance, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, petroleum-based ingredients, dyes, and formaldehyde.
Do you products contain alcohol?
No. Alcohol dries out the skin and is never included in as part of our formulas. Additionally, alcohol is often included as a filler in essential oil sprays to reduce cost. We believe in full transparency of our product ingredients.
Are all essential oils good for direct skin contact?
No. First, organic growing practices are critical because it means that toxins, such as fertilizers, were limited in the growing process. Second, certain essential oils can irritate the skin if applied directly (e.g., eucalyptus) or make the skin more sensitive to the sun if applied directly (e.g., orange, lemon, bergamot).
What ingredients should I avoid in skincare ingredients?
Everything listed above — fragrance, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, petroluem-based ingredients, dyes, formaldehyde, and alcohol. Additionally, you want to avoid certain essential oils that can irritate the skin or can cause your skin to be more sensitive to the sun. You also need to be careful of natural formulas that are absent of a natural preservative. This can cause the formula to spoil quickly and grow mold, yeast, or bacteria. Certain animal products can also contain bacteria.
Why do so many skincare products use controversial ingredients?
These ingredients help to extend shelf life, create certain textures, or provide fragrance consistency. Examples include parabens (used as preservatives), phthalates (used in fragrance stabilization), and sodium lauryl sulfate (a foaming agent that may be irritating to some skin types). Our approach focuses on using ingredients chose for skin compatibility, safety, and functional performance.
What does “fragrance” mean on an ingredient label?
The term “fragrance” can represent a blend of many different ingredients, and companies are not required to disclose the full composition because it is considered proprietary. We avoid the use of fragrance and rely instead on the natural scent of plant-based ingredients. After removing all fragrance from our lives (including perfumes and other household products), we found that fragrance now smells toxic or synthetic and our senses have adapted to prefer natural scents.

Why choose use organic and toxin free skincare products?
Many people prefer organic skincare to reduce exposure to synthetic additives. The skin is the largest organ in your body and everything that goes on the skin absorbs into the body. Many ingredients can cause harmful effects on the body that can build up over time. Once health issues arise, it can be difficult to identify the source, particularly if multiple toxic products are used. Humans are exposed to so many synthetic chemicals and toxins in our environment that we have no control over. We believe in minimizing as many toxins as we can control and choose toxin free skincare.
Why choose small-batch skincare?
Small batches are made more frequently so oils spend less time sitting in storage and allow us to remove unnecessary additives and synthetic stabilizers. This means better scent, stronger botanical benefits, and a more natural product. Instead of mass production lines, small batches allow us to monitor quality control and preserve ingredient potency.
Why are your products made using mindful production practices?
We believe the care and attention put into formulation and production matters. Our process emphasizes small-batch production, careful ingredient handling, and intentional craftsmanship to maintain product quality and consistency. Everyone and everything is made up of energy. In the making of a skincare product, the energy of the production process and the human (or machine, in many cases) is reflected in the product. This principle is explained in Dr. Masaru Emoto’s book “The Hidden Messages in Water” and inspired our mindful production practices.
